But here we are coming up on my Third Favorite Holiday (following Christmas and Veteran's Day). I think it is only fitting to discuss my favorite dish, OF ALL TIME.
Here is a bit of a backstory dump - when I was younger (think little baby), a drug was administered to me by the hospital staff for a sickness I had. I was severely allergic and stopped eating. My grandma and mom fed me mashed potatoes. It's pretty much the only thing I could stomach.
It's the only thing that truly belongs on my comfort food list.
I do standard MPs with milk and butter and mash the crap out of them until they're smooth. I know people who add chives, garlic, sour cream, yogurt, bacon bits, onions, parsley, sugar, etc. you name it you can add it.

My favorite is the simple dish with gravy. Yummy in my tummy. I cannot stop eating them. LOVE.
WHAT? With Cheese? My friend, Brooke Moss, is rolling over right now with glee! Brooke! Did you see THIS? HOLY COW!
This is the most delightful thing I have ever seen. The only problem? It's so dang tiny. Pile me up with a 20 pounder of that, you know? 10 scoops! Ahoy matey!
And green? Seriously? I do not like Green Eggs and Ham, but Sam I Am? If it's MPs, I'll try anything ONCE. Where is the green gravy? Plus, if they're good, I'd like to meet the leprechaun who made them. Do you think it's Gerard Butler. Sigh.
