Got my ARC yesterday.  Wow.  I am so nervous.  I have been requesting reviews like a madman!

I hope it goes well.

There is so much craziness, I can't even stand it.

Wild Rose Press Submissions Call

I recieved this post via a Yahoo Group I am a member of.

I am posting it for your information...

We have a bit of a problem here. We are running out of short stories and we are way over our heads with full lengths. I am using the definition of anything under 65K as a short right now and anything over is a full.I know authors want to write the fulls to get them to print. I understand that. But the reality is this, the competition for full length contracts is getting harder and harder here in the Garden. We get so many solid awesome romances in that we can't possibly publish everything that is good, we are only taking those stories that are absolutely fantastic. However, when it comes to short stories - those not released in print. We are wide open to submissions. No, we won't publish something that isn't good but your chances of getting something contracted goes up considerably if its a short story. Everyone seems to forget that we are first and foremost an epublisher. We want to focus on the ebook market and short stories sell much better for the reading devices, iPhones, etc. then the full lengths do. When we're talking short, we're not talking so short there's no story.

There is a definite need for stories that hit the 25K - 50K range. So this is the perfect time to spread the word to your writing friends; The Wild Rose Press is actively recruiting short stories across all lines immediately. If you have a short story in your mind, now is the golden time to get that submission in. If you've never written nything short - try it. Sometimes trying to do something with less can be very satisfying. As always, please review our guidelines and remember we only publish romance. As always if you have questions, you know where I am .
